Bergur Sverrisson

When I started training with Ingimar, I had been doing CrossFit for 9 years. I had competed abroad and placed in the top 10 in competitions with individuals who were competing at the World Games. I was in very good shape. I had been following excellent training plans for a long time, such as TTP and TheProgrm.

Still, I signed up for training. I wanted to try working with someone who had experience in a competitive environment in Iceland and someone with a real passion for the sport. Since Ingimar and I started working together, we have achieved many victories.

- Placed on the podium at the Icelandic CrossFit Championship
- Became Lifter of the Year 2025
- Set my first Icelandic record
- Competed at the Games of the Small States of Europe with the National Olympic Weightlifting Team and won silver as the second-highest scoring lifter (along with winning gold as the highest-scoring team)
- Competed at the European Championships (first major competition) where I set my second Icelandic record
- Competed at the World Championships
- Went from 133kg in snatch to 141kg
- Went from 155kg in C&J to 162kg (and from 155kg in Clean to 168kg)

The best thing about the training is simply Ingimar's passion for the sport, the fact that you can always find ways to work around circumstances, and the simple setup. Ingimar and I are still working together and aim to go to the World Championships in China in October 2026. What stands out most are probably the Training hall sessions with Karlos Nasar.

I think this is for everyone who feels within themselves that they want to take one more step in pursuing their goals. People who have stagnated a bit and want someone to guide them through that stagnation. People who want to find new heights.

Hólmfríður Katrín Kjartansdóttir

I have been training with Ingimar for almost two (!!) years, and I think that alone says all there is to say about whether I recommend his training or not.

I started training with Ingimar because I felt I wasn't progressing enough in traditional WODs, especially regarding more complex gymnastics movements. It wasn't long after I started training until I began to see good results in my workouts. I achieved my first BMU, first RMU, C2B, learned butterfly movements, and HSW became more efficient, to name a few.

At the same time as my gymnastics improved, I also got better in all lifts. For example, I have improved my clean by 13 kg and my snatch by 12 kg. What also plays a significant role in all my achievements is the meal plan Ingimar provides. I used to overthink weighing my food, but the app Ingimar uses and the setup of his meal plan make it genuinely easy.

What also matters is how great Ingimar is as a person. He is professional, approaches you with respect, and encourages you when you need it. He has all my recommendations, and his training is 100% for those who want to put more effort into their workouts and turn weaknesses into strengths.

Hólmfríður never misses a workout or a meal, and the results are undeniable!

I am in my second year of personal training with Ingimar, but I have done remote training before, both with another Icelandic coach, who referred me to Ingimar, and also with foreign coaches.

There are several reasons why I choose to invest in personal training:

Just showing up to classes is random, aimless, and immeasurable, and it didn't suit me well, especially my nervous system. Individualized training, on the other hand, is purposeful, structured, and has measurable goals. The program is adapted to my strengths and weaknesses (SWOT analysis), which yields better results than a general program or just showing up to classes. It's incredibly beneficial and enjoyable to have a coach in your corner, for advice, encouragement, and tactics.

Training with Ingimar has brought me decent results. For example, I made it to the Semi-Finals for the first time this year, and I have become an Icelandic champion and won a European championship in the 55-60 age category.

However, my most important achievement is that I have remained very healthy (which was not the case when I managed my training load myself). I'm not alone; I have a professional on my team. It's so much more fun and safer. I understand the exercises, the goals, and the training system much better, which is enjoyable.

I highly recommend personal training and Ingimar.

Since starting Ingimar's program, I've seen a lot of improvement in myself, both in cardio, strength, gymnastics, and I see a lot of physical change in myself. The training volume is great, and I always feel good after every workout. The load is well-managed, and I recover well between sessions while making significant gains. My injury rate has decreased since I started, and I went from being an amateur in CrossFit to a competitive level.

The workouts are varied and tailored to one's weaknesses, and he makes you do exercises that I would never do myself but are so important. I get daily feedback, which keeps me on my toes, and he monitors how all exercises are going, which is great. ·

After I started with Ingimar, I've made it to the Icelandic CrossFit Championship 2 years in a row. I've improved most in my weaknesses.

- PR in 5k run by 90 seconds
- BMU from 5 -> 20 unbroken
- TTB from 10 -> 30+
- 20 min watt test from 275 to 305 watts ·

I think it's great how Ingimar incorporates the right amount of training volume. I've been achieving great results and improvements, yet I always come to workouts feeling fresh. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to improve and see results. Especially if you've stagnated a bit, this is perfect, because Ingimar makes you do new things that lead to improvements.
